 One of my favorite killed cartoons....that's right no typo. This cartoon was rejected for publication ...when I was working as a staffer for a daily newspaper back in the 1980's. The reason for rejection was that I had used it before. That's correct, I had used it before....and....I have used it every year since I have left that daily newspaper. I felt strongly enough about the message AND the image that it was worth repeating annually. Even though our readers might have forgotten the cartoon from 364 days ago and I wanted to remind them about the reason for the season.  The editor felt our readers deserved a brand new, never before seen cartoon......so he killed mine ....and then reprinted a nationally syndicated cartoon. Just another example of... I can draw anything I want AND the newspaper can reject anything I draw.....for any reason they want.
